I’ve decided to move my journal over to a new home. I like WordPress but found it too much for my simple needs. Hence I’ve shifted over to Posterous.

You can find my new journal here. I like the ease of posting from email and the no fuss approach. So come on over to the new place and see what you think.

The new site is finally up and running.  I wanted something that was a lot quicker to add new entries to.  It’s built on the Stacey App – very minimalist content management system. It did take a bit of fiddling to getting it looking just right but I like the outcome.

I also redesigned my business cards to compliment the new look.  It’s also good to have a bit of a spruce up.

Here’s a quick pic of an exhibition stand layout that I designed for Kolchida.  The backdrop is 6m by 2m on fabric.  The black and white photographs you see on the sides are abstract shots taken in the workshops of this company.

A post with two duties:

The first is to wish you all a Merry Christmas.  Have a great one.

The second to introduce my new site : Graham Hodgetts Photography ( tah dah ).  There are still quite a few things to be added to it but I wanted to get it up and running.  I’ll write a little more about this later – it’s late and I need sleep.

Well the weather finally changed, winter is here or is it?  Last Friday it was in the high twenties then Saturday suddenly everything changed. It’s great to get some cool air into my lungs – feels fresher, more alive. I now don’t feel guilty about cooking curries, eating porridge or drinking mulled wine – all of which are difficult to justify in 28 degree heat.

In other news, the new photography site is in its final stages.  Really excited about getting this off the ground.

Went on a walk with Friends of Nature on the weekend.  Great bunch of people and a lovely walk.  Took the opportunity, as always, to get in some photography.  Here’s a link to the pics .

(Note : there were two walks –  just move forward for the photographs I took. )

The new photography site is on its way meanwhile,  here’s a few shots I took in Chania on a recent pit stop.  A well-earned break with the family.  The clouds were amazing that weekend and so featured in many photographs.   Hope you like them.

This is something I’ve been meaning to do for a long time.  I wanted to separate the design and photography parts of the studio.  The photographs just seem to get lost in amidst the other bits and pieces.  So with this in mind I’m currently working on a new site for this content.  It will be released very shortly at Terataki Photo and will include all aspects of my photography.

I also have many new posts to add with the latest work.  Just got a bit behind on my entries.

The other day I was lucky enough to take part in a fantastic charity event organised by Now Heraklion to raise money for Rodanthos’ whose aim is to improve health services for patients with neoplasm at the University General Hospital of Heraklion (Pa.G.N.I.).  Many thanks to Clive for letting me participate.

Taking photographs at this event was challenging made even more so by not using a flash, as this would have spoiled the atmosphere. So armed with my trusty 50mm I set out to capture the essence of the evening.  The performers were all fantastic and I hope my photographs do them justice.
